Chris Kordek

Chris joins the instructor cadre from Loudoun County Fire -Rescue where he is currently the Captain assigned to Engine and Truck 6. During his 13 year career, Captain Kordek has served in both operational and administrative roles including as an adjunct instructor at the Fire Academy during recruit training and department call back evolutions. In 2017, at the time Lieutenant Kordek, was awarded the departments “officer of the year” achievement which was presented by the Fire Chief. Chris began his fire department career in 2005 at the Junior Fire Company (Engine Co.2) in Frederick City MD where he still volunteers today. While attending college at The University of Maryland, Chris volunteered with the Prince Georges County (MD) Fire Department and work at the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI).
