We asked for your reviews and feedback on the RPS Kevlar and we listened. While most people loved the concept they asked if there was anyway to drop the price. Unfortunately we couldn’t do that on the original. However, say hello to the newest addition to the family.
The key component of the RPS is the adjustability of the strap. The RPS Nylon utilizes a 1” cinch buckle allowing the user to take out the slack after applying the RPS to an unconscious firefighter.
Manufactured out of 1” nylon tubular webbing rated to 4,000 lbs it is built to handle the extreme environment which the fire-ground can often be.
Measuring in at just about 6’ without carabiners attached it is designed to be used in a number of ways to assist with packaging a down firefighter.

We developed the RPS to have a work around to the waist-belt packaging method. For years we have been proponents of the waist-belt method due to its simplicity and the statistics of any outside piece of equipment having a huge failure rate along with a diminished response time because you are waiting for it to arrive inside. Although the waist-belt method is a great method requiring zero extra equipment it does have its limitations.
The waist-belt is only so long which makes it hard for larger FF's.
Positioning the FF to have good access to the waist-belt cinch buckles takes time and the buckles can be hard to operate with fire gloves on.
After disconnecting the waist-belt buckle, if one buckle is lost it can be hard to find and takes extra time.
If the buckle release is tapped while moving the FF it will release, open and the FF will fall out of the system.
Also, we have been hearing reports of the waist-belt buckle releasing under load with the mew MSA buckle which doubles as the battery release tool.
The RPS was designed to counter all of these issues.
It is a little over 6' long with carabiners attached allowing it to be used in multiple packaging methods. Primary Method of Attachment
When used in the Primary Method configuration the waist belt is completely bypassed eliminating the chance of it coming undone.
The RPS can be applied to the FF in multiple positions.
Because you are dealing with only 1 strap and not 2 sides of a waist-belt if you lose one end you can easily retrace it with both hands.
The RPS uses a high-strength and lite weight cinch buckle.
Packaging is extremely fast with times as low as 30 seconds in limited to zero visibility.
